"Destructive forces" fanning anti-Russia sentiment - official.

BISHKEK, April 22 (Itar-Tass) - First Deputy Chairman of Kyrgyzstan's provisional government Almazbek Atambakyev accused "destructive forces" in the republic of fanning the anti-Russian sentiment.

"These attempts are being made by the destructive forces connected to
the former leadership of the republic," Atambayev told reporters here on
Thursday, "these people are doing everything possible to unsettle the
situation."
He promised that the masterminds behind these actions would face
criminal responsibility.
"Not a single Russian was hurt during the recent disturbances,
moreover, we appointed Anatoly Oleinichenko, a Russian, as head of the
Alamedinsky district, where riots had occurred," the first deputy prime
minister said.
Further instability in the republic is advantageous to certain forces.
"All the persons involved in it are put on record and we'll apply to them
the toughest measures in the near future," he said.
Atambayev offered his assurances that the new leadership has nothing
to do with the disappearance of Akmat Bakiyev, a brother of the former
president.
"They've been spreading the rumor that the new authorities are
involved, but this is not true, on the contrary, we're interested in
keeping the Bakiyev brothers alive, in order to bring them to trial," he
said.
