MOSCOW, April 23 (Itar-Tass) -- Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz
interim government and acting Finance Minister Temir Sariyev believes that
at the Moscow negotiations the countries will reach agreement on the
financial assistance to Kyrgyzstan. He told journalists about it summing
up the results of the Moscow negotiations.
"This is my first visit to Russia, before that , First Deputy Prime
Minister of the Kyrgyz interim government Almazbek Atambayev had been
holding negotiations in Moscow," he said.
Sariyev told Itar-Tass that he had meetings and reached concrete
agreements. He said he "met with chief of the Russian presidential
executive office Sergei Naryshkin."
"We discussed the political situation in Kyrgyzstan and the measures,
which the interim government was taking to stabilize the situation,"
Sariyev went on to say. "Meanwhile, we were discussing international
relations and Russia's assistance to Kyrgyzstan." Specifically, according
to Sariyev, "the fuel and lubricants supplies were discussed." "We
succeeded to reach agreement on their delivery," he noted.
"During the negotiations Russia's $20 mln grant to Kyrgyzstan was
discussed, which had already been transferred to support the state budget
in order to guarantee the obligations fulfilment for the people," the
deputy prime minister of the interim government said. "We also agreed on
the deadlines and the terms of Russia's $30 mln credit transfer to
Kyrgyzstan," he underlined. "A half of these funds will be transferred to
the Kyrgyz agricultural bank, the second part will be spent to support the
people injured in the tragic events on April 6-7," he said. "I think that
we have come to agreement on all these issues. I am greatly satisfied with
the achieved results," Sariyev said.
