MEMBERS OF PMI INVESTIGATION TEAM MEET JAKARTA GOVERNOR
Jakarta, April 24 (ANTARA) - Members of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) investigation team on Tanjung Priok incident met with Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo on Saturday for further information.
The meeting which started at Jakarta city hall at 10.30 on Saturday morning was closed for media, Jakarta provincial administration's communication and information officer Cucu Kurnia said.
He said the PMI investigation team met with Governor Fauzi Bowo to ask about various issues related to a riot at Koja area in Tanjung Priok recently.
Also present at the meeting were among others regional secretary of Jakarta provincial administration Muhayat, North Jakarta Mayor Bambang Sugiono, and suspended Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit chief Haryanto Badjuri.
While the PMI team was led by Ullah Nurchrawaty, and several members of the team namely Rachmat Ahadiyat, Muhammad Muas, Irwan Hidayat, and Dasril.
Earlier on Friday, Ullah Nurchrawaty said that 192 people, not 156, fell victim in the incident.
He explained that the 192 victims were made of up 107 men from Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit, 65 civilians, and 20 policemen.
Ullah said that of all injured victims, 11 were still in the hospital.
