Putin to lay wreath to WWII Liberation Memorial in Vienna.

VIENNA, April 25 (Itar-Tass) -- Rounding off his working visit to
Austria, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will lay a wreath to the
WWII Liberation Memorial in Vienna.
On April 13, Austria marked the 65th anniversary of liberation of
Vienna, and on April 27, it will mark the 65th anniversary of the Second
Republic - its Independence Day.
The Victory Memorial in Vienna, sandwiched between Palais
Schwarzenberg and Hochstrahlbrunnen fountain, was built in 1945 to
commemorate 17,000 Red Army soldiers who died in the battle for Vienna.
The most remarkable result of Putin's visit to Austia was the signing
of documents on Austria's joining the South Stream gas pipeline project.
Similar agreements were previously signed with Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary,
Greece, Slovenia and Croatia.
Late on Saturday, the Russian prime minister attended the European
Judo Championship in Vienna.
After his Austrian visit is over, Putin will leave for Milan to meet
with his Italian counterpart Silvio Berlusconi. The Italian and Russian
prime ministers will hold an unofficial meeting at the Arcore villa Sunday
evening.
On Monday, they will continue their talks at Berlusconi's new
residence - Villa Gernetto in Lesmo.
