Orthodox priest murder in Chuvashia - challenge against conscience.

MOSCOW, April 26 (Itar-Tass) -- Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia
Kirill "is shocked with an outrageous murder" of priest Anatoly Sorokin,
who was the father superior of a rural church in Chuvashia. This is
already the fourth similar tragedy for a little bit more than a year.
"The clergymen have been killed several times in the past few months.
All people are equal for the God, the criminal deprivation of any life is
a deadly sin. But the murder of the priest, who devoted his life to the
service to the God and people is a blatant challenge against not only the
Law of God, but also against the very basics of human conscience," the
patriarch said in the message.
The supreme hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church urged "all
Orthodox Christians to unite in the prayer for the repose of the killed
priest and for all our society, which still suffers from the consequences
of many years of atheism."
Priest Anatoly Sorokin was killed on Saturday before the vespers at a
church, where he served as father superior, the press service of the
Moscow Patriarchate reported. The St. Nicholas the Miracle-Worker Church
is situated in the village of Yantikovo in the Yalchik district of
Chuvashia. The flock detained the killer, who shot down the priest just
before their eyes. Father Anatoly left the widow and six children.
A 46-year-old priest was found dead at about 16.00 Moscow time on
Saturday near the church with a gunshot wound in the breast, a source in
the Prosecutor General's Office Investigation Committee (SKP) said on
Sunday. The SKP investigation department in Chuvashia instituted a
criminal case over the murder.
"As a result of well-planned and urgent measures a suspected killer
was unmasked and detained. He turned out to be a 47-year-old resident of
the village Sugaikasy in the Kanashsky district," the source said.
The tragedy in Chuvashia became the fourth recent murder of the priest.
In January 2009 two drunken young men killed the father superior of
the Assumption of Our Lady Church in village of Volobuyevo in the Rylsk
district of the Kursk Region, Hieromonk Efrem (Gatsenko), and beat up
brutally his aide.
On November 19, 2009, a bandit in mask gunned down at the altar a
famous missionary, priest Daniil Sysoyev, who was the father superior of
the Moscow Church of St. Apostle Thomas.
In the evening of December 22 archpriest Alexander Filippov was shot
down in the back at the door of his flat after the remark made to three
drunken people for the indecent behavior at the entrance of the apartment
block.

.Eurobonds issue in roubles would raise role of Russian currency.

WASHINGTON, April 26 (Itar-Tass) -- The issue of Eurobonds in roubles
would raise the role of the Russian currency in the world, Russian Deputy
Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin told reporters here on
Sunday.
He recalled that "this year we nominated the Eurobonds in U.S.
dollars." "This will be enough so far, since the liquidity is sufficient
on the domestic market," he noted.
"Probably, the Eurobonds may be placed in roubles. This will raise the
role of our national currency. But still we are not going to nominate them
in other currencies," Kudrin pointed out.

.Russia to place loans in most suitable currency - Kudrin.

WASHINGTON, April 26 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia will place loans in the
most suitable currency for the country in order to reduce the cost of
expenses for their service, Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance
Minister Alexei Kudrin told reporters here on Sunday.
In reply to a question whether bonds should be placed in the foreign
currency or in roubles, he noted that "all depends from the efficiency of
each mechanism - stakes, risks and currency exchange forecasts."
"Therefore Russia should take loans in the currency, which is suitable in
terms of lower expenses for their service and the stability of
quotations," Kudrin said.
"This is a matter of instruments," he pointed out. "Patriotism should
envisage in this case lower expenses for Russia," he added.

.Russia not to replenish reserve fund this year - Kudrin.

WASHINGTON, April 26 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia will not replenish its
Reserve Fund this year, and "it is difficult to speak about 2011 so far,"
Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin told
reporters here on Sunday.
"This year the fund will not be replenished. The point is that whether
we will exhaust it or not in 2010," he noted. "All depends from new
forecasts, which we are making, the materials are already available and
are under discussion," Kudrin pointed out. "We are discussing with
specialist a forecast, after its coordination we will calculate accurately
the revenues and expenditures for this year under this forecast," he
remarked.
In reply to a question whether it is possible that the Reserve Fund
will be exhausted this year, Kudrin said, "It will be exhausted, so it
will be this way." Speaking on a more remote future he noted, "It is
difficult to say now whether the fund will be replenished in 2011." "We
will say about it, when we outline the main budget parameters for the next
year in June or July 2010," the vice-premier said.
As of April 1, 2010, the Russian Reserve Fund amounted to 1.76
trillion roubles or 58.9 billion dollars.
