MOSCOW, April 30 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia has sent more humanitarian aid
to quake-stricken China, a source at the Emergency Situations Ministry
said on Friday.
"An Ilyushin Il-76 cargo plane of the ministry departed from the
Ramenskoye airfield at 7:20 p.m. Moscow time. It is carrying 28 tonnes of
drugs and medical equipment," the source said.
Back on April 24, Russia sent about 40 tonnes of humanitarian cargo -
tents, blankets, diesel generators and food - to the Qinghai province,
which sustained the heaviest damage in the recent quake.
President Dmitry Medvedev ordered the ministry to provide assistance
to China.
