MOSCOW, May 2 (Itar-Tass) - Police in Moscow are searching for a
driver who knocked down two pedestrians and made a getaway from the scene.
The accident occurred on Marshal Zhukov Prospekt avenue at around
22:30, a source at the Moscow City Interior Department said.
Eyewitnesses said a silverfish Daewoo car ran down two pedestrians
crossing the road and dashed off from the scene.
"The eyewitnesses managed to read a fragment of the car's
registration number and the police have announced a search for it," the
source said.
The injured, a man and a woman, have been rushed to city hospitals.
At the time of reporting, investigators were clearing out the details
and circumstances of the accident.
