NAT'L PROGRAM STARTS FOR ENVIRONMENT
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ A national environmental program named "Green environment-our future" targeted at children and adolescents has started with aims to increase awareness and positive approach to environment protection and proper utilization of natural resources among children and adolescents for saving environment.
The national program will be co-implemented by the Khan Bank Foundation in collaboration with the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) and the NGOs specialized in the environment under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Ministry of Environment and Tourism. It will be realized throughout the nation in three stages namely, informing, engaging and influencing.
As a first stage of the program, five types of contests will be organized among secondary school students and three schools, which have achieved in promoting environmental awareness among their students.
Works to be created as a part of the contests will be exhibited throughout the country on the June 1st on the occasion of Children's Day and the winners of the contests will go to a summer camp and will be invited to take part in a TV show. This TV show aims to provide children and youth with series of information on saving environment and creating green environment as well as to publicize their participation and initiatives by encouraging them.
