Russia is ready to discuss energy security with G8, China & India
OTTAWA, July 10 (Itar-Tass) - Russia is ready to discuss energysecurity with other G8 members, China and India, said Ivan Grachev, the deputy head of the Russian State Duma Energy Committee. He is attending a session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Sub-Committee for energy and ecological security.
Commenting on the G8 initiative to convene an energy security forum, Grachev noted that Russia was and would be the number one player in the world energy market and its participation in such a a forum could contribute to the promotion of dialogue between producers and consumers ofenergy resources - other G8 countries, China and India.
Grachev believes that the proposed energy forum could highlight energyefficiency and new technologies.
