Preparation for Vientiane’s 450th anniversary celebration evaluated
VIENTIANE, 05 MAY (KPL) - Standing Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Organising Committee for the Celebration of the 450th Anniversary of Vientiane Proclamation as the National Capital of Laos has urged relevant committees to pay attention to realising the preparatory works for the celebration of Vientiane.
The celebration of the 450th anniversary of Vientiane proclamation as national capital is scheduled for November 15-21.
At a meeting held here on May 4, Mr. Somsavat Lengsavad said that the preparatory works must complete before the celebrating days.
The participants evaluated the preparation works of subcommittees on the publication of Vientiane history, the survey of the ancient city’s structure of Vientiane, advertisement, arts performance, national defence and public security and fund raising activities.
