Lipetsk Region and China Jilin province sign coop agrmnt
VORONEZH, July 11 (Itar-Tass) - The administration of the LipetskRegion and the Chinese province of Jilin have signed an agreement on trade and economic, scientific and technical, humanitarian and cultural cooperation.
As ITAR-TASS learnt at the regional administration, the document was signed during the first Russian-Chinese trade fair that cameto an end in St. Petersburg on Wednesday.
The document notes that the sides will promote the broadening of mutually advantageous trade and economic cooperation, including the creation of enterprises, joint-stock companies and financial-industrial groups to produce competitive goods. It envisages the holding of exhibitions and fairs, as well as meetings of representatives of businesscircles of the Lipetsk Region and the province of Jilin.
The regional administrations also intend to develop cooperation in the field of education, establishing direct ties between educational organizations and departments and exchanging pedagogical experience. In the sphere of culture, the sides plan to hold art exhibitions, tours ofcreative collectives and render support to the development of people's art.
According to the regional administration, the reached agreement is a result of the Jilin government's participation in the work of the 8th international conference titled Lipetsk Region -- Development Through Investments" where it got acquainted with the economic and humanitarian potential of region. Representatives of business circles of Italy, Croatia, Luxemburg, Germany, Austria, China, Vietnam, Japan and the CIScountries took part in the conference.
