Energy and electrical eqt exhibition to open in St Pete Tue.

ST PETERSBURG, May 11 (Itar-Tass) - The problems and novations in the
development of the energy sector of the economy are reflected at an
international exhibition on the theme of "Energy and Electrical
Engineering--2010", opening here on Tuesday.
This is a joint project being implemented by the exhibition companies
LenExpo and Restech with support from Federal sectoral ministries, the
Association for economic interaction among the regions of Russia's
North-West, and other organisations.
An official at the LenExpo has told Itar-Tass that taking part in the
present exhibition are more than 300 enterprises and firms from Russia's
immediate neighbours and other countries, among them Azerbaijan, Hungary,
Germany, Italy, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic. Russia is represented by
30 cities, including Moscow and St Petersburg.
The exhibition features new and promising elaborations, various
equipment, instrument gauges, cable products, electronic components, and
small-size power plants.
Beginning from this year the following two new sections are added to
the energy exhibition: "Alternative and Renewable Sources of Eenergy.
Biofuel" and "The Show of Autonomous Energy and Engineering systems".
Russia implements its purpose-oriented energy programmes which are
connected with the installation of gas supply service and reconstruction
of the heat supply system, the modernisation of the boiler-room fleet, and
the housing/public utilities system of the country.
Energy efficiency and energy-saving remain the key aspects of the
development of the energy sector. It isprecisely the present exhibition
that is called upon to promote accomplishment of these tasks.
The exhibition is being accompanied with an extensive business
programme which includes an innovations forum on renewable source of
energy, the RSE-2010, a conference on the theme of "The Distribution
Network Complex of the Russian Federation: The State of, Problems, and
Ways of Solution", seminars and presentations. Veterans of the Great
Patriotic War of 1941-1945 will be feted as well.
