Former Kyrgyz state property minister detained.

BISHKEK, May 12 (Itar-Tass) -- Police have detained Kyrgyz former
state property minister Tursun Turdumambetov, a spokesman for the country'
s prosecutor general's office told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
"Turdumambetov is now being interrogated on previous criminal cases,"
the spokesman said, however, providing no detail on what he is being
charged with.
Previously, Kyrgyz police and security officers detained a number of
former ministers who were in office under the ousted president Kurmanbek
Bakiyev, including former defence minister Baktybek Kalyev.
