Policeman injured in Makhachkala blast
MAKHACHKALA, July 11 (Itar-Tass) - There was a powerful explosion in the Dagestan republic's capital Makhachkala in Amet-Khan-Sultan Avenueabout 23:05, Moscow time on Thursday.
The city police officials told Itar-Tass that the "incident took place not far from the Marakesh banquet hall." According to a police source, an explosive device of unidentified so far type and power went off not far from the place where a joint squad of patrol-post police and traffic police inspectorate entered on duty on Wednesday. One of policemen got ablast injury.
Bomb technicians and a team of operatives and investigators have beenworking at the explosion scene.
