Six-way talks participants begin coordinating Wu Dawei statement
BEIJING, July 12 (Itar-Tass) - Participants in six-way talks on North Korea's nuclear ambitions began coordinating on Saturday a statement of Chinese nuclear envoy, Deputy Foreign Minister Wu Dawei. It is expected that the present session of the heads of the Chinese, North Korean, South Korean, Russian, U.S. and Japanese delegations will end with the passing of that document.
The main issue during the current meeting is to work out methods to verify the North's own account of its nuclear activities as well as compensatory aid to North Korea in response to the scrapping of itsnuclear programme.
The head of the Russian delegation, Deputy Foreign Minister AlexeiBorodavkin, told reporters on Friday that there was hope for good results.
He said the parties discuss "issues, that let us expect further progress in the process of denuclearisation".
