INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO EXPANDING RELATIONS WITH
Baku, 13 July,(AzerTAj) - International organizations including the Council of Europe (CoE) pay particular attention to enhancing relations with Azerbaijan, head of the Azerbaijan Parliamentary delegation to the PACE Samad Seyidov told AzerTAc.
He said Azerbaijan`s rapid development, its significant role in ensuring global energy security cause great interest among the world community.
According to him, CoE has completely changed its attitude towards Azerbaijan and the country is shown as an example of democracy to other member countries.
S. Seyidov also stressed Azerbaijan has no problems in honoring its commitments to CoE.
“There are some issues to be resolved, because Azerbaijan was subjected to military aggression by Armenia, and we are still in a war situation†he said.
He added the Organization takes steps towards settling the dispute based on Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and principles of international law.
Mr. Seyidov underlined the resolution adopted by the PACE summer session once again confirms Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and calls for the unconditional withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from all the occupied territories.
