UAE president to have talks on cooperation in Kazakhstan
ASTANA, July 15 (Itar-Tass) - President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nayhan of the United Arab Emirates will have talks with Kazakhstani leaders on the development of cooperation between the two countries aspart of his official visit to Astana that began on Monday.
"The UAE is one of Kazakhstan's key political and economic partners in the Arab world," Kazakhstani Foreign Ministry spokesman Ilyas Omarov told a news briefing.
"Astana and Abu Dhabi cooperate successfully at the internationalarena. The political dialogue and trade-economic relations are developing dynamically. The UAE upholds our country's foreign political initiatives," the diplomat stressed.
"The UAE president's official visit is designed to give a powerful impetus to further development of mutually advantageous cooperation between the two countries in all fields," Omarov said, adding that thevisit would last till July 16.
UAE investors implement several key projects in Kazakhstan, including the construction of Aktau City on the Caspian Sea, Abu Dhabi Plaza "green axis" and others. Key projects in the petrochemical industry, the energy and mining sector are being now finalised.
