Serbian FM to arrive in Moscow to discuss Kosovo on Jul 17
MOSCOW, July 16 (Itar-Tass) - Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic will arrive for a working visit in Moscow on July 17 to discuss Kosovo with Russian leaders, a source at the Serbian embassy in Russia told Itar-Tass.
"In Moscow, Vuk Jeremic will meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and presidential envoy in the Central Federal District Sergei Poltavhcneko. The visit's aim is to synchronize positions on urgent issues of bilateral relations. It's too early to say whether any joint statements are going to be made because the details of the visit are still being discussed with the Russian side," the embassy source said.
"The Serbian foreign minister will brief the Russian side on priorities of Serbia's new coalition government. Serbia is grateful toRussia for supporting its stance on Kosovo. Belgrade intends to continue coordinating efforts designed to protect the fundamental principles of the existing system of international relations," the embassy official went on to say.
"The forthcoming visit will deepen mutual understanding and add more trust to the Russian-Serbian political dialogue," the Serbian embassy stressed.
