Japan to develop investment cooperation with Mideast countries

TOKYO, July 16 (Itar-Tass) - Japan is going to develop investmentcooperation with countries of the Middle East and Central Asia, Japanese Finance Minister Fukushiro Nukaga said before his week-long tour of the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Uzbekistan.

He said he was going to actively assist the inflow of investment to the Japanese economy, considering the huge funds of several of Middle East states that were gained on the crest of the rise of oil prices.

The minister said representatives of Mizuho Bank, the Tokyo-Mitsubishi Bank, the Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Bank and of the corporation Sumimoto-Mitsui would accompany him on his tour.

Nukaga will discuss the situation on raw material markets of regions, mechanisms of pricing and cooperation in the financial and economic sphere.
