UAE is monitoring latest updates in defence technology: Mohammed
Abu Dhabi July 16, 2008 (WAM)- The Supreme Command of the UAE Armed Forces is closely monitoring latest world transformations and rapid advances in the military and defence systems and weapons,'' according to H.H. Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
''The UAE leadership spares no effort to provide our Armed Forces with all potentials and energies which allow it to maintain its prominent and effective role in the security and peace equation in the Gulf and Middle East and as a contributor to international development and peace,'' Sheikh Mohammed said in a press statement yesterday marking the graduation of the 17th batch of the Command and Staff College.
''President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan lends incessant support and care to the Armed Forces in terms of building and modernisation in order to strengthen its defence capabilities and become fully able to do its national duty in full as the safety valve of the nation,'' Sheikh Mohammed added.
