PREMIER MEETS KOREAN LABOR MINISTER
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold received Wednesday a delegation headed by Yim Tae Hee, the Labor Minister of the Republic of Korea.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Premier mentioned that the 20th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea will be celebrated this year, and expressed a satisfaction with widening of the bilateral relations and cooperation in all sectors. He emphasized an importance of the labor ties to develop the economic collaboration.
"The government of Korea has provided thousands of Mongolians with favorable conditions to work in its country thus significantly contributing to overcoming of difficulties of the market economic transition period and to fulfilling certain socio-economic goals,” said Mr. Batbold. He added that Mongolia intends to liberate trade and commodity turnovers, deepen the collaboration in the financial sector and the ties between people, and to develop a cooperation in granting the two countries' people a discount in touring and visiting their countries.
"The Republic of Korea may make investments to not only small- and middle-sized production sector, but also to the economic biggest spheres such as infrastructure and heavy industry," the Premier said.
Mr. Yim appreciated initiatives of Mongolia's Premier and promised to convey them to related officials of his country. Mr. Yim reported that he will abolish official and technical barriers existing in the Korean side in boosting the bilateral relations and cooperation, and expressed a hope the cooperation in the labor sector will deepen.
