Japan police arrest Russian for sweeping drug trafficking in Tokyo

TOKYO, July 19 (Itar-Tass) - The Japanese police announced Friday
about the arrest of unemployed Russian citizen Dmitry Gubarev, who created in Tokyo and its neighbourhoods a sweeping drug trafficking network.

The investigators found out that this drug trafficking network has
acted since May 2006 and brought the earnings of at least 90 million yens (about 850,000 dollars).

In Gubarev's flat in the Tokyo district of Shinjuku the police found a
batch of drugs, including 3.4 kilograms of hashish. A notebook was also
found there with Gubarev's notes about his criminal activity, including
the names of buyers, their telephone numbers and etc. Gubarev pleaded
guilty in the illegal drug sale and testified that he took over the drug
trafficking network from his Iranian acquaintance.

According to the police, the drug dealer had at least 100 clients.
The investigators are probing into drug trafficking channels of Gubarev's
criminal network.
