war-time UXO found in Kon Tum
Kon Tum (VNA) – A large quantity of war-time unexploded ordnances (UXO) has been found in the central highlands of Kon Tum.
According to the provincial sappers force, the ammunition includes detonators,
bullets, mines and a rocket.
Major Nguyen Hoai Son, head of the provincial sappers force, said the UXO was left
by the US troops during the war in Vietnam . “We will our search in the area
until safety can be guaranteed.”
The UXO was found on June 30 by workers who are building a project at the provincial
military headquarters.-Enditem
