Tu-22 bombers to conduct practical firing exercises
MOSCOW, July 23 (Itar-Tass) -- Five Tu-22 supersonic bombers willconduct practical firings at a range in the Irkutsk Region during flight and tactical exercises of the Russian long-range air force.
During the three-day exercises of the long-range force under the command of Yuri Kuznetsov, five Tu-22 supersonic bombers on Wednesday will carry out practical firings at the Nogotai range in the Irkutsk Region and master cooperation with other air force and air-defence units, the RussiaAir Force commander's aide Vladimir Drik said.
More than 30 percent of young pilots will participate in the exercises to acquire theoretical and practical piloting skills in firing operations,he said.
