Badminton player rises up to world top 21st

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam 's Nguyen Tien Minh leapt three positions again to be the world's 21st top badminton player for the first time.

Minh was previously promoted to the 24th place from the 27th in the world rankings after winning the title at the Robot Vietnam Challenge early this month.

In the Badminton World Federation rankings announced recently, female player Le Ngoc Nguyen Nhung also jumped six positions to the 69th place.

Like Minh, the 24-year-old Nhung had secured a ticket to the Beijing Olympics Games to be held in China from August 8-24.
