Major hail damages 100 houses, power lines in Krasnodar territory
KRASNODAR, July 27 (Itar-Tass) - The major hail damaged about 100houses in the settlement of Guryevskaya, the Belorechensk district of the Krasnodar territory, where the air temperature reached 40 degrees above zero.
"Hailstones were one centimeter big and bigger," a source in the main emergencies department in the Krasnodar territory told Itar-Tass on Saturday.
"The hail damaged the roofs of about 100 houses, broke down several power lines," a source in the district authorities said.
An operative headquarters was set up to eliminate the hail aftermath in Belorechensk. The headquarters included officials of the main emergencies department in the Krasnodar territory and the administration of the Belorechensk district.
