Iran's Ahmadinejad arrives in New York
New York, Sept 19, IRNA – Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in New York, USA, to attend the 65th annual meeting of the UN General Assembly.
He will deliver his speech at the UN General Assembly meeting on the first day of general discussion by the heads of state.
Presidents and prime ministers of 139 countries and foreign ministers of remaining countries will represent their governments in the summit that begins on September 20.
US President Barak Obama and UN Secretary-General Ban-Ki Moon are among senior officials who are to deliver speeches at the meeting on the first day.
Ahmadinejad will also speak at the UN Millennium Meeting which will start from Monday.
Speaking in the meetings of Proximity among Religions and Peace Talks is among other working programs of President Ahmadinejad..
The accompanying delegation of President Ahmadinejad include:
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, Cooperative Minister Mohammad Abbasi, Vice-President in legal affairs Fatemeh Boudaghi, Vice-President and head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Hamid Baqaei, senior advisor to President Mojtaba Samare Hashemi, advisor and head of Presidential Office Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, Press Advisor to President and Managing Director of Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Ali Akbar Javanfekr and Head of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Ezzatollah Zarghami.
