Ho Chi Minh sends volunteers to Laos
(KPL) Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, has sent medical volunteers to provide humanitarian aids to poor people in two southern provinces of Attapeu and Champassak.
The farewell ceremony for the volunteers was held on Monday in Vietnam with the attendance of Lao consul to Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. TheplakhoneDuangsonthi, and the relevant officials from Laos and Vietnam.
Mr. Theplakhone expressed thanks to the Vietnamese and highly valued their humanitarian contribution to the poverty reduction of the people in the two southern provinces, which helps enhance the special relations and comprehensive co-operation between the Lao People's Democratic Republic andthe Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
