WORKSHOP ON RAILWAY TECHNOLOGIES LAUNCHED IN BAKU

Baku, 30 July,(AzerTAj) A two-day workshop on railway technologies organized by Azerbaijani Transport Ministry and Korea’s Railway Network Authority today has started in Hyatt Regency hotel, in Baku.

Deputy Transport Minister Musa Panahov underlined that cooperation in transport area between the two countries is rapidly developing due to the memorandum signed during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Korea in 2007.

The memorandum envisages restoration of Azerbaijan transport system and railway infrastructure.

Executive Director of Korea’s Railway Network Authority Kim Nag Ki and Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Kwang Chul wished successes the workshop participants.

During the first day of the workshop, specialists of Azerbaijan State Railway Department gave the detailed information about the state of the railway system, repair and rehabilitation operations and communications.

The Korean specialists will also submit the final draft of reconstruction of Baku-Boyuk Kasik part of Azerbaijan railway.
