Sochi looks forward to 2014 Olympics

SOCHI, August 3 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi will mark 2,014 days remaining before the start of 2014 Olympic Games by symbolic records.

A group of tourists will climb high in the mountains to a height of 2, 014 metres and will set up a fire above the sea level.

Amateur drivers will take part in city competitions in car
orienteering. The tasks will be linked to number 2014. Young tennis
players will strike a tennis ball 2,014 times.

"Sochi's victory in the bidding to host winter Olympic Games elevated the city to the rank of an international resort. The Olympic Games provide a good opportunity for the city to solve its problems. Eighty percent of all Olympic investments will go to the infrastructure," Sochi Mayor Vladimir Afanasenkov said.
