‘Judiciary’s budget not tailored to its needs’
TEHRAN, Oct. 30(MNA) -- Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani said the budget allocated to the Judiciary is not tailored to its responsibilities.
Each year on average 500 judges retire or hand off their responsibilities under different reasons, therefore the judiciary needs to employ new judges, Larijani, the Judiciary chief, told a number of parliamentarians on Friday.
However, unfortunately proper cooperation has not been made with the Judiciary in this regard, he added.
Even the Judiciary’s least needs have not been met in the Five-Year Development Plan, Larijani noted, calling on the administration and the Majlis to take care of the issue.
Iran’s Fifth Five-Year Development Plan (2010-2015) is part of the 20-Year Outlook Plan (2005-2025), which is the country’s main blueprint for long-term sustainable growth.
