South Korea delegation to visit Turkmenistan
SEOUL, August 4 (Itar-Tass) - A South Korean governmental delegation led by Minister of Knowledge Economy Lee Youn-ho flies to Turkmenistan on Monday, where it will review the progress of bilateral accords achieved at the talks in this year's May.
The delegation comprises state officials and members of South Korean business.
It is planned to discuss at a meeting with Turkmen President
Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov the matters of broadening economic relations, including in construction, the textile industry, cement production and the development of the social infrastructure.
The South Korea delegation will visit the port city of Turkmenbashi on the coast of the Caspian Sea, where it is ready to consider possibilities of establishing a special tourist zone and building hydrocarbon-refining factories.
The South Korean news agency Yonhap said official Seoul is much
interested in establishing close relations with Turkmenistan, whose
natural gas reserves are the 12th- largest in the world.
