Russia-China intergovernmental talks to be held in Moscow in Oct

MOSCOW, August 6 (Itar-Tass) - Regular intergovernmental talks between Russia and China under chairmanship of the two countries' prime ministers will be held in Moscow.
"The schedule of these talks is still being adjusted, but mostly
likely they will be held in October," a source in the Russian government told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
He also said the "sides might agree on plans of holding these talks" during Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's meetings with Chinese leaders in Beijing on August 8-9.
"Trade between Russia and China in the first five months of this year has grown by 60 percent. It made 40 billion dollars in 2007," the source said.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after his meeting with
Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi that for reviewing and regulating trade and economic matters, a "unique mechanism has been established -regular meetings of the Russian and Chinese heads of governments, at which practically all ministers directly communicate with each other".
"The mechanism helps really avoiding unnecessary complexities in trade ad economic cooperation of the countries," Lavrov said.
The regular meetings of the Russian and Chinese prime ministers
traditionally are held every year in the autumn in Russia and China.
The latest talks of the governments took place in Beijing in last year's September.
