DUALISM IN EDUCATION SYSTEM RESULTS IN CONFLICT - PROFESSOR
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- The current dualism in the education system
which divides knowledge to manage self and system has resulted in a conflict of
personalities.
International Islamic University of Malaysia Prof Dr Sidek Baba said dualism
should be avoided to bring forth a better Muslim who could contribute to the
human civilisation.
"It (dualism) is one of the factors that contributes to the backwardness of
Muslims today," he said in his speech at the 'Islamic Education: Planning for
the Future of the Muslim World' conference here Monday.
The three-day conference will, among others, discuss plans and challenges of
Islamic education in the future.
The conference is attended by 300 participants.
