Luangnamtha governor visits Sing district to boost agricultural production for trade

(KPL) Mr. Phimmason Laungkhamma, member of the Party Central Committee and
governor of Luangnamtha province early this month visited and talked to
leading officials and people of Sing district.
The visit to Sing district of Mr. Phimmasone was a part of his activities to
boost the agricultural production for trade and to encourage people to do
their best to improve their living condition.
Mr. Phimmasone and his delegation was warmly welcomed and briefed about the
situation in the district, especially its social-economic development
activities made in the past few years and in the present time.Sing district
is one of five districts in Luangnamtha province which shared a border with
China and Myanmar. Sing district with total area of 2,090 square meter has
comprised with 31,543 people and 6,822 families.
The agricultural production is the main vehicle to promote the district's
economic and improving the living condition of its people. Maize, watermelon
and peanut is also the main crops planted by district people. In addition,
the district has exported 20,000 tons of rice and 90,000 tons of sugarcane
to the Republic of China.
On this occasion, Mr. Phimmasone has urged all leading officials and core
cadre to upholding their traditional spirit and strengthening their
solidarity in order to boost the social-economic development in the
district.
