M'SIAN FM TO VISIT ITALY, SWITZERLAND, AUSTRIA AND SLOVAKIA

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 (Bernama) -- Foreign Minister Anifah Aman
will visit four countries -- Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Slovakia -- from
Tuesday to Dec 22 to enhance bilateral relations, the Foreign Ministry said
Monday.

This will be Anifah's first official visit to these countries, during which
he will be accompanied by his wife Siti Rubiah Abdul Samad, and senior officials
of the ministry, it added.

Anifah would be meeting his counterparts to exchange views on a number of
regional and international issues and develop a closer understanding with these
countries, the statement said.

Malaysia considers these countries as having great potential in developing
cooperation in various fields of mutual interest, it added.
