VS EXPECTS POSITIVE OUTCOME FROM NEGOTIATIONS TO SECURE MANUFACTURING CONTRACTS

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 (Bernama)-- V.S. Industry Bhd (VS), the leading
integrated Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider in the region, is
negotiating with a few multinational corporations to undertake their
value-added manufacturing activities.

The products range from consumer electronics, motorised and heating
products, healthcare to high-end technology products, its chairman Beh Kim Ling
said in a letter to shareholders in its annual report released last week.

He said some of the negotiations are at an advanced stage and likely to
turn into orders in the current financial year ending July 31, 2011.

Beh said the company's business strategies for revenue expansion will still
be the focus and this is to be achieved by developing new clientele as well as
collaborating with existing clients to undertake increased contract
manufacturing or to develop new products.

He said against the backdrop of the global economic recovery, the Group was
seeing the return of orders from key customers.

"This provided the impetus for a remarkable turnaround in the financial
performance of the Group," he explained.

He said for the year ended July 31, 2010, the Group pre-tax profit surged
182.8 per cent to RM36.8 million (US$11.87 millon) compared with the previous
year, while revenue improved to RM800.2 million (US$258.12 million) from RM724.8
million (US$233.80 million).
