Bashed man fights for life in Sydney

A man bashed in a suspected robbery at Sydney's eastern beaches overnight is in hospital in a critical condition, police say.
Police called to Brook Street at Coogee at about 3am (AEST) Saturday found the 20-to 25 year-old on the ground with severe head injuries.
He was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital for emergency surgery.
With his wallet and other personal belongings missing, police are yet to identify him.
