TWO THAI AIRCRAFT TO BRING BACK BUS ACCIDENT VICTIMS WEDNESDAY

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- Two C-130 aircraft belonging to the Thai
Royal Air Force are expected to land at the Subang Royal Malaysian Air Force
(RMAF) Base, near here Wednesday afternoon to bring back Thai nationals who were
involved in the tragic bus accident in Ipoh Monday.

The First Secretary at the Thai Embassy, Suwit Mangkhala said the Thai
nationals who died or were injured in the accident at KM15, Cameron
Highlands-Simpang Pulai Road would be sent back home Wednesday.

"The aircraft will leave for Malaysia at about 8am Wednesday from the Don
Mueang Air Force Terminal.

"They are expected to arrive at 12.26pm and will bring back everyone
involved in the accident," he said when contacted by Bernama, here Tuesday.

He said the Thai nationals would be flown back to Thailand in stages and the
whole operation was expected to be completed Wednesday.

On Monday, a bus carrying Thai tourists skidded and overturned while coming
down from the Cameron Highlands tourist centre, killing 27 people and injuring
10 others in the incident believed to be the worst road accident in Malaysian
history.
