STANDARD CHARTERED JOINS MEPS

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 24 (Bernama) -- Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Bhd has
joined the MEPS (Malaysian Electronic Payment System) Shared ATM Network to
provide its customers the convenience of making interbank cash withdrawals and
balance inquiries at all ATM machines nationwide.

The service will be available early next year, the bank said in a statement
Friday.

It said customers will be able to perform interbank cash withdrawals and
balance inquiries at more than 10,000 ATMs nationwide.

"By offering customers unparallel convenience with access to all ATM
machines across the country we reinforce our commitment to provide fast,
friendly and accurate service to our valued customers," its Country Head
Consumer Banking Tiew Siew Chuen said.
