RETIRED SENIOR CIVIL SERVANTS MUST CONTINUE TO CONTRIBUTE IDEAS

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 6 (Bernama) -- Senior government officers who retire from
service can continue to contribute ideas and positive feedback to enhance the
transformation of the civil service and delivery system.

Chief Secretary to the Government, Mohd Sidek Hassan said ideas, opinions and
views from them can have a positive impact and contribute towards the efficiency
and effectiveness of service to the people.

"Continue to provide input for the betterment of the country's delivery system,
whether you were in the civil service, private sector, corporate sector, back in
your home town or overseas.

"Maybe in the past, due to your tight working schedule and mounting
responsibilities there was not much time for creative thinking or time to think of
innovative ideas," he told reporters after speaking at the Prime Minister's
Department service appreciation night here Wednesday.

Mohd Sidek also urged officers who were promoted to important portfolios to
serve with commitment, dedication and integrity.
