EMULATE VALUES OF AUSTRALIAN CULTURE - PERLIS CROWN PRINCE

GEORGE TOWN (Malaysia), Jan 10 (Bernama) -- There are many values synonymous
with the Australian culture which Malaysians could emulate, said the Crown
Prince of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.

He said, among the exemplary values of Australians were emphasis on
cleanliness, concern for the environment, courteousness, respect for customers,
discipline, responsibility and honesty.

Speaking at a reunion for participants of Universiti Malaysia Perlis's
(UniMAP) Educational Tour Programme to Australia here Sunday, he said Malaysia
could expedite its process towards becoming a developed nation by practising the
same values.

At the event, 50 participants of the UniMAP Educational Tour programme
recounted their experiences and made a list of what Malaysians could adopt from
the Australian culture.

Also present was his consort, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen
Akashah Khalil, UniMAP Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Kamarudin Hussin and UniMAP
board of directors chairman Dr Zainul Ariff Hussain.
