TELSOM SENIOR OFFICIALS MEET WITH ASEAN DIALOGUE PARTNERS
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 (Bernama) -- The third day Wednesday of the 11th Asean
Telecommunications and Information Technology Senior Officials Meeting (Telsom)
began with the delegates meeting with Asean's dialogue partners, starting with
China.
The meeting with China is to be followed with meetings with Japan and South Korea.
After lunch, two Telsom sessions are scheduled to be held. All the meetings are
being held at the Royale Chulan Hotel here.
The Telsom meets at least once a year to share information and experiences in
developing policies and management efficiency among its members.
The meetings, which carry the theme "ICT: Positioning Asean for the Future", are
aimed at forging stronger ties among the regional telecommunication fraternity.
Asean comprises Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the
Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
