JETSTAR TO OPERATE NEW DIRECT SINGAPORE-HANGZHOU SERVICE
SINGAPORE, Jan 18 (Bernama) -- Low fares carrier Jetstar Tuesday announced it
will operate a direct service from Singapore to Hangzhou in Shanghai, China,
from March 22.
The company said this is part of the move to continue its growth of
international low fare services into China.
The non-stop Singapore to Hangzhou service will be operated by the carrier’s
growing A320 fleet.
Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province on the Chinese mainland east coast,
is one of China’s most visited cities by tourists.
It attracts tens of millions of visitors, including foreigners, annually to its
renowned natural beauty, historic and cultural heritage.
Initially flying three times weekly, the service will grow to four times weekly,
by March 27.
To celebrate the launch of flights to Hangzhou, Jetstar is putting on sale,
one-way all inclusive JetSaver Light fares of S$98 for three days from today for
travel between March 22 and May 25.
Hangzhou will become Jetstar’s seventh Chinese destination and its fourth
Chinese market introduced in the past 12 months.
From Singapore Changi Airport, Jetstar Asia currently serves Haikou, Shantou and
Guilin with multi-weekly direct flights, and flies at least daily services to
Greater China destinations of Hong Kong, Taipei and Macau.
