Malaysian DPM arrives in Brunei for SEAMEO Council Conference

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Jan 25 (Bernama) - Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin arrived here Tuesday to attend the 46th Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (Seameo) Council Conference (Seamec) and 6th Asean Education Ministers Meeting (ASED).
Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister, was accompanied by his wife Noorainee Abdul Rahman and senior Education Ministry officials.
Soon after his arrival, Muhyiddin had a luncheon meeting with Brunei Darussalam Education Minister Pehin Awang Abu Bakar Apong at a hotel.
Muhyiddin will have an audience with the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, at Istana Nurul Iman, after which he will visit Sekolah Vokasional Nakhoda Ragam.
He will also attend a dinner at the main hall of the Malaysian High Commission Tuesday night.
On Wednesday, Muhyiddin will attend the Seameo council conference and deliver a keynote address at the 5th Roundtable Meeting of Asean Educational Leaders and the 3rd Conference of the South East Asian School Principals Forum at a hotel here before returning to Kuala Lumpur in the evening.
