SIME DARBY'S E&U DIVISION FORMS JOINT VENTURE COMPANY WITH MUSTANG
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 27 (Bernama) -- Sime Darby Bhd's Energy & Utilities
Division and Mustang, a Wood Group Company, have formed Mustang Sime Darby, a
joint-venture company that will provide project management, design, and
procurement support services for the oil and gas (O&G) industry.
"The joint venture will enhance Sime Darby's portfolio of services to
provide a very impressive and full service offering to the industry and we look
forward to progressing further oppotunities with Mustang in the Southeast Asia
region," Sime Darby Energy & Utilities Division Executive Vice President
(Non-China Operations) Jauhari Hamidi said in a statement Thursday.
Mustang is a leading global O&G engineering and project management company,
providing project management, conceptual and detailed engineering, and
construction management services.
"Mustang's project management and engineering experience, combines with Sime
Darby's full service capabilities, skilled workforce and strong reputation in
the region will allow us to enhance our offerings in the exciting O&G market in
Southeast Asia," Mustang Executive Vice President A.J. Cortez said.
Meanwhile, Wood Group is an international energy services company with a
presence in 50 countries worldwide, genereating approximately US$5.0 billion
sales and employing 29,000 people for its three businesses, namely engineering &
production facilities, well support and gas turbine services.
