Kim Jong Il Inspects Command of KPA Unit
Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA)- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, inspected the command of KPA Unit 6556.
Going round the rooms for the study of military affairs, he acquainted himself with commanding officers' training.
He noted with satisfaction that the unit is preparing all its commanding officers as competent officers capable of skillfully organizing and commanding any difficult combat duty in a modern warfare. He underscored the need for the unit to thoroughly establish the revolutionary trait of training so that all the commanding officers may acquire commanding ability as required by the modern warfare.
He looked round soldiers' hall and other cultural and educational facilities to learn about how the political work is conducted among soldiers there.
Then he made the rounds of a mess hall, kitchen, non-staple food store and other supply service facilities to pay deep attention to soldiers' living.
He praised the commanding officers of the unit for having provided soldiers with good living conditions with a correct viewpoint on the supply service.
He had a photo session with the soldiers of the unit. -0-
