Forum to Probe Challenges of Teaching Arabic

Doha, February 03 (QNA) - The challenges faced by teachers of Arabic as first or second language in the 21st century will be probed at a conference organised by a joint forum to be held here on February 9 and 10.
Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Qatar along with Qatar University and Western Michigan University have organized the first joint forum for research and discussion on Arabic language, a media note on behalf of CMU said today.
Dean of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar G. Richard Tucker and Vice Chairperson of Qatar Foundation Dr. Saif Al Hajari will address the opening session on the first day.
University of Texas, Austin, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Al-Batal,
Cambridge University's Dr. Yasir Sulieman are the key note speakers at the conference.
