Iraqi oil minister: Maysan will be leading oil producing city in less than 5 years
Amara, Maysan (NINA) - Abdul Kareem Luaibi, Iraq's Oil Minister, said Iraq's oil production exceeded 2.6 million BPD, 2.163 million BPD for export, a number that was not reached since 1989.
He added that Maysan Province will be among leading oil producing cities in the world in less than 5 years, it will be producing more than 1 million BPD.
The minister went on to say "the development of Halfaya, Bazirgan, and Fakkah oil fields have already started, other survey operations are underway on Dujaila oil field in order to increase the oil store.
