Kim Jong Il Enjoys Lunar New Year's Concert
Pyongyang (KCNA) - Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission, enjoyed with senior officials of the party, state and army the Lunar New Year's concert given by the Unhasu Orchestra.
When he appeared in the auditorium of the theatre, the audience enthusiastically welcomed him, offering him lunar New Year greetings.
He acknowledged the enthusiastic cheers of the audience and warmly congratulated them on the lunar New Year.
The concert included numbers like "The Korean Nation Is the Best", "Song of Friendship," "My Wife" and "We Love Thee Socialism".
The performers successfully represented the heroic spirit of the army and people of the DPRK dashing toward the eminence of a thriving nation full of confidence of victory under the wise guidance of Kim Jong Il.
He expressed great satisfaction with the excellent concert fully reflecting the desire and wishes of the Korean people. He praised them for their successful performance.
